ANDREW BARROWMAN - PAINTER

Andrew Barrowman is an artist who works in the landscape, most often preferring to work en plein air (in the open air - on location). He loves exploring ‘off the beaten track’ and always seeks out alternative views of familiar places. Andrew records these landscapes by creating a number of sketches, using a variety of media, in his daily sketchbook.

He was elected a full member of the Pastel Society in June 2023 and an Associate Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in May 2023. In 2021 he won the Bowyer Drawing Prize at the New English Art Club annual exhibition and will feature as a main participant in Sky Arts popular tv programme ‘Landscape Artist of the Year’ series 9, which airs January 2024.
