Claire is a glass artist based in Fife.

Working from her beachside studio, coastal elements are a constant source of inspiration.

Kiln forming techniques such as glass casting, fusing and slumping allow Claire to manipulate glass through the processes of heat, gravity and chemical reactions.

The resulting pieces have an element of unpredictability in their formation, which aligns closely with the physical forces and energy of the coast.

Coldworking processes are used to exploit the optical quantities of the glass and help to create an element of vitality and movement within every piece.
