MOYA ACTON - PAINTER

I was born in London to an Irish father and an English mum. I survived a Convent education.

Creativity and design played an important part in my life from early on. Despite the demands of a large and growing family, I started a company in the 1970s designing and manufacturing English craft products for the gift trade worldwide. This led on to retail design, fashion merchandise design and shop within shop operations.

Selling this business in the late 1980s led to me having more time available to develop my love of art and painting. I now have a small studio in our contemporary house in the Midlands and enjoy participating in local exhibitions. I have exhibited at the Barbican in London and have had work accepted for the Royal Academy summer exhibition and sold my work through galleries.

I continue to enjoy my garden, walking, poetry, cinema and the lives of my six children and nine grandchildren.
