What the Gallery looked like 10 years ago

Goodness, what a transformation!

It was a hard slog, from quitting my job to opening up VK Gallery, but to know that this was the right thing to do at that time, allowed me to feel like anything was possible!

What I didn’t expect was to start a family within the first year of opening VK. That brought a new challenge I don’t think anyone was expecting at that time.

It was tricky, to juggle two new lives side-by-side: a new baby and a new business. I started to question everything. But the full support from my family and from artists was the drive to continue.

VK grew, with more artists joining and new displays for the artwork arriving, which helped VK to look much more inviting from the shell it was in 2014.
