You may find this series unexpected, a move away from my more familiar approach of using the entire space, but I have wanted to pair back the coverage of the panel, paper or canvas by selecting a couple of elements of the shapes and repeated patterns I enjoy and highlighting these. I have blended gentle tonal work with bold dominant areas, marks and lines, adding contrast and creating a dynamic composition.
